At Philosophical Practice, we focus on the practical application of philosophical knowledge in people's everyday lives.
Philosophical counseling, consulting, and coaching;
Facilitating workshops, lectures, and educational activities;
Publishing and writing.
If self-discovery, exploring your ways of thinking, or improving the quality of your life or business matters to you, or if you care about the development of your community, students, or work team,
We will tailor our activities to your specific needs and work together to find an approach that suits you best.
Philosophical Practice collaborates exclusively with qualified and trusted experts who possess the appropriate academic and professional education. This ensures that our work is grounded in rigorous professional standards, respect for the findings of theoretical research and scientific knowledge, as well as the application of critical thinking and logical reasoning.
We are also committed to nurturing young talent. For this reason, some volunteer activities organized under the auspices of Philosophical Practice may be carried out by talented and carefully trained university students. These activities are always conducted under the mentorship and supervision of a qualified professional.
The activities offered by Philosophical Practice are open to everyone, regardless of age, education, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ideological beliefs.
At Philosophical Practice, we place great emphasis on an ethical approach and profound respect for every individual, as well as for every social or professional group, recognizing and valuing their uniqueness.
Our work is methodologically grounded in pragmatism. From this perspective, philosophical theories are not regarded as ultimate truths, but rather as useful and adaptable tools that can work differently for each of us.
When working with you, we therefore never favor any particular philosophical theory in advance. Instead, we work together to help you discover or develop a philosophical approach that is best suited to your individual needs and most useful in achieving your goals.
You don't need any prior knowledge of philosophy or expertise in any other field.
All you need is a willingness to think freely, communicate openly, and put your newly developed philosophy into practice, in a way that aligns with who you feel you truly are or who you aspire to become.
Dr. Lukáš Arthur Švihura is the President of Philosophical Practice and serves as its Academic Director, overseeing the professional quality of its activities.
He specializes in philosophical counseling, consulting, and coaching, and also works as a yoga instructor.
At the University of Prešov, he works as a philosopher and university lecturer, holding the academic position of Associate Professor.
His research focuses on the philosophy of pragmatism, particularly practical somaesthetics, narrative identity, self-creation, and the art of living, as well as the study of philosophical practice around the world.
